CRL Cardiff Series Pivot Hinges are engineered for glass shower doors and panels using 5/16" (8 mm) to 3/8" (10 mm) tempered safety glass. These glass-to-fixed transom mount pivot hinges offer versatile installation options — bottom-load bearing design supports most of the door weight and allows the hinge to be inset from the wall to clear towel bars and other projections. The Cardiff pivot hinge is self-centering with four internal springs for maximum retention and smooth operation, making it ideal for frameless glass shower door applications. Optional 5º pre-set pivot pin sets (sold separately) let you adjust the door closing position. The Cardiff Series also adapts to CRL’s Deluxe Header System for partial-height enclosures.

NOTE: Optional 5º Pivot Pin Set for Cardiff, Prima, Rondo, and Shell Series is sold as a set of two (top and bottom). Pins may be installed prior to or retrofitted after hinge installation. Pivot pins are not included with hinge purchase.

Using two hinges with 5/16" or 3/8" glass (8 or 10 mm), each hinge set will hold up to 100 lbs. (45 kg) with a maximum door width of 31" (787 mm).
