These CRL Overhead Door Closer Kits (SKU: CRL8170S) include a medium spring-size door closer, mounting clips, a Type S side-load arm, and your choice of a DP-adjustable dual-purpose bottom pivot set or GE bottom pivot set. The closer features independent dual-action valves to separately control closing and latching speeds. Available in both 90Β° and 105Β° hold-open or no hold-open models. Closer bodies fit into standard 1-3/4" x 4" (44 x 102 mm) or larger extrusions. Additional spring sizes, hardware options, and overhead concealed door closer accessories are available to suit storefront and commercial aluminum doors.
Independent Adjustment Valves
Non-critical valve control lets you adjust closing speed and latching speed independently for precise door performance.
Special Retaining Rings
Retaining rings prevent the adjustment valve screws from being backed completely out of the door closer body, improving serviceability.
Note: An auxiliary floor or overhead door stop is recommended to prevent damage from over-extension of the maximum allowable door swing.
