Our innovative glass entrance product, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). The Wedge-Lock® system secures glass by applying downward pressure from a flat stainless steel bar to two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions that engage an angled groove in the door rail. As the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts, the wedge action and door retaining gasket generate exceptionally high holding force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail), producing reliable glass retention along the full-length rails.

The Wedge-Lock® Glass Securing System delivers fast installation and long-term stability for commercial glass doors and storefront entrances. Rails arrive completely fabricated with end caps installed; installers need only attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the pre-assembled adjustable door alignment slide. The Adjustable Door Alignment System allows 1/8" (3.2 mm) in/out adjustment on both top and bottom rails without removing the door.

To adjust after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide, and the two outer bolts provide the 1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment. The low-profile slide and slotted pivot grooves allow offset pivot placement for vertically out-of-square openings.

Other advantages: models accept 3/8" to 3/4" (10–19 mm) glass; a rigid single-component housing that resists shifting over time; no need to remove internal components before installation; and durable glass-securing pads designed for longevity in extreme environments.

NOTE: All Wedge-Lock® Door Rails feature a built-in Jamb Alignment Block. Arms, pivots, closer arms, and keyed cylinders/thumbturns must be ordered separately to meet job requirements.
