Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, uses the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). This Wedge-Lock door rail for tempered glass secures the glass by applying downward pressure with two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts, the angled extrusions engage an angled groove in the door rail, generating very high clamping force (more than 900 lbs. in the 9" Corner Rail).

The Wedge-Lock® Glass Securing System delivers fast installations: experienced installers can prepare a door for hanging in under ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rails ship fully fabricated and ready-to-install with End Caps installed. After rail installation, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail.

The standard Adjustable Door Alignment System allows ±1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door — available on both top and bottom rails. Remove the End Cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide; the outer bolts adjust the slide in or out. The low-profile slide allows pivot placement other than the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm), enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
