  • Patented Wedge-Lock® glass securing system (fast, high-clamp force)
  • Models accept 3/8" to 3/4" (10 to 19 mm) glass
  • Available in several stock architectural finishes; custom finishes available
  • Available with or without locks; matching sidelite rails available

Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, features the patented Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). This storefront and interior glass door rail secures glass from the bottom using two aluminum glass-retaining extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is drawn down with socket head cap bolts, angled extrusions engage an angled groove in the rail, producing exceptional clamp force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail). Expect proportionally higher force across the full 35-3/4" (908 mm) door rail length.

NOTE: Actual product height: 4-1/16" (103 mm).

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers more than strong glass retention — it provides the fastest installation time among door rails. Experienced installers can prepare a door in under ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rails ship fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After mounting the rail, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail.

The standard Adjustable Door Alignment System on both top and bottom rails allows 1/8" (3.2 mm) field adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door. To access adjustments after installation, remove the end cap to reveal three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide; the outer bolts allow the 1/8" in/out adjustment. The low-profile slide enables pivot placement off the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm) for vertically out-of-square openings.

Other advantages of Wedge-Lock® Door Rails:
  • Rigid single-component housing that resists shifting or loss of adjustment over time
  • Internal components remain installed during mounting for faster install
  • Durable glass-securing pads designed for longevity in extreme environments

NOTE: All Wedge-Lock® Door Rails feature a built-in jamb alignment block; arms and pivots must be ordered separately to meet job requirements.
