Our innovative glass entrance product, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR4TPB12SL) uses the exclusive patented Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. and international patents). This door rail for 1/2" tempered glass secures the glazing by applying downward pressure through two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts the angled extrusions engage the angled groove in the rail, drawing the retaining extrusions together and compressing the door retaining gasket to create extremely high clamping force — proven in our corner rail design and scaled across the full 35-3/4" (908 mm) rail length.

The Wedge-Lock® Glass Securing System delivers more than secure attachment — it provides the fastest installation time among door rail systems. Experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in less than ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rails ship completely fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps preinstalled. After rail installation attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail. The adjustable door alignment system allows 1/8" (3.2 mm) in/out adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door; this feature is standard on both top and bottom rails.

To adjust the door after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the adjustable slide, and the two outer bolts adjust the slide ±1/8" (3.2 mm). The low-profile slide allows pivot placement other than the American Standard setback of 2-3/4" (69.8 mm), enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
