Our innovative glass entrance product, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR4TPS12SL) uses the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). The system secures glass by applying downward pressure through two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar tightened with socket head cap bolts. The angled extrusions seat into an angled groove, creating high retention forces (over 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail) for exceptional glass-holding strength in our full-length rails—ideal for commercial storefront and frameless glass door applications.
NOTE: Actual product height: 4-1/16" (103 mm)
The Wedge-Lock® system delivers fast installs and reliable, long-term performance. Rails arrive factory-assembled and ready-to-install with end caps in place. After rail installation, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail. The adjustable alignment slide provides ±1/8" (3.2 mm) door adjustment toward or away from the jamb on both top and bottom rails—useful for out-of-square openings and precise commercial door alignment.
To adjust after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide; the two outer bolts adjust the slide 1/8" (3.2 mm) in or out. The low-profile slide accommodates pivots with slotted grooves and non-standard setback positions.
Other benefits and differentiators:
- Single-component rigid housing resists shifting or loss of adjustment over time
- Internal components remain in place—no disassembly required before installation
- Durable glass-securing pads designed for longevity in extreme environments
- Standard built-in jamb alignment block; arms and pivots ordered separately
Ordering information:
- All door rails supplied with standard Kwik-Adjust™ pivot alignment system; closer arms and floor/overhead pivots ordered separately
