Our innovative glass entrance product, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR4TSA12SL) uses the exclusive Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2, Canadian Patent 2,419,706, and European Patent No. EP 1 404 939 B1) to securely clamp monolithic tempered glass. This patented wedge-action design applies downward pressure via two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is pulled down with socket head cap bolts, angled extrusions engage an angled groove in the rail, producing exceptionally high holding force (more than 900 lbs. in our 9" Corner Rail)—delivering industry-leading strength in our full-length 35-3/4" (908 mm) door rails for tempered glass doors and commercial glass entrances.

The Wedge-Lock® system not only secures the glass—it speeds installation. Experienced installers can prepare a door for hanging in under ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rails ship fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After mounting the rail, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail. The adjustable door alignment system permits ±1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door—standard on both top and bottom rails.

To adjust after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the adjustable slide; the two outer bolts move the slide ±1/8" (3.2 mm). The low-profile slide allows pivot placement other than the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm), enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
