Our innovative glass entrance product, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, is a high-performance glass door rail system engineered for secure, fast installation. The exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1) secures the glass by applying downward pressure with two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tensioned with socket head cap bolts, angled extrusions engage an angled groove in the door rail, pulling the extrusions together and creating exceptional clamping force (more than 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail) — providing industry-leading glass retention across the full 35-3/4" rail length.

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers rapid installation: experienced installers can prepare a door in under ten minutes. Door rails arrive completely fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After rail installation, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide preassembled in the rail. The adjustable door alignment system allows 1/8" (3.2 mm) in/out adjustment on both top and bottom rails without removing the door.

To adjust the door after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide; the two outer bolts provide the 1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment. The low-profile adjustable slide accommodates pivots with slotted grooves and can be positioned off the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm), enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.

Other advantages: available models accept 3/8" to 3/4" (10–19 mm) glass; a rigid single-component housing that resists shift and long-term misalignment; internal components remain in place during installation; glass securing pads are built for durability in extreme environments. All Wedge-Lock® door rails include the built-in jamb alignment block; arms, pivots, keyed cylinders, thumbturns, and closer arms must be ordered separately to match job requirements.
