To meet demanding closer specifications and to match or cover existing hole patterns, consider the CRL PR50 Series Surface Mounted Door Closer (SKU PR50A). The PR50 Series is an ANSI Grade 1, multi-size adjustable spring power surface-mounted door closer designed for doors 24" to 54" (0.61–1.37 m) and weighing 33 to 264 lbs (15–120 kg).

The barrier-free (low opening resistance) Model PR50 offers lighter spring power with adjustable door control Size 1–4, making it ideal for ADA compliant door applications in public buildings, airports, and shopping centers. Model PR52 adjusts Size 2–5 for heavier doors and higher-traffic areas. Model PR54DA adds an adjustable Delayed Action feature to hold the door open longer—useful for healthcare facilities, nursing homes, and public buildings requiring momentary hold-open to meet ADA needs.

Closing and latching speeds are independently adjustable. An adjustable backcheck reduces damage from violent openings caused by wind or heavy pedestrian traffic. PR50 Series closers are UL Listed and backed by a ten-year warranty. Parallel arm brackets and mounting hardware are included for regular, top-jamb, or parallel arm installations. Optional accessories (drop plates, hold-open arms) are available for special installations.
