Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, uses the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2, Canadian Patent 2,419,706, and European Patent No. EP 1 404 939 B1) to secure glass from the bottom of the rail. The system pulls two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions together with a flat stainless steel bar and socket head cap bolts into an angled groove, creating exceptionally high clamping force (more than 900 lbs. in our 9" corner rail). This reliable mechanical wedge action plus our durable door retaining gasket yields a secure, long-lasting hold suitable for commercial glass doors and high-use storefronts.

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers fast installation time—experienced installers can prepare a door in under ten minutes. Rails ship fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed; after rail mounting, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail. The adjustable slide provides ±1/8" (3.2 mm) lateral adjustment toward or away from the jamb on both top and bottom rails without removing the door, simplifying field alignment for vertically out-of-square openings.

To adjust after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide; the two outer bolts adjust the slide 1/8" (3.2 mm) in or out. The low-profile slide allows pivot placement other than the American Standard setback of 2-3/4" (69.8 mm).
