CRL Black Bronze Anodized Double Header for 72" Concealed Closers

• For use with 1/2" (12 mm) glass only
• Ideal when cutting into the floor for a floor closer is not an option

These CRL Floating Headers for Overhead Concealed Door Closers (SKU: FH4DUD) permit mounting single or double doors off glass sidelites with a transom above. Stock floating headers are designed for 1/2" (12 mm) glass-to-glass installations and are prepared to accept CRL overhead concealed door closers and a 1/2" (12 mm) glass transom.

Custom floating headers cover additional configurations, including other glass thicknesses, custom lengths, glass-to-wall installations, and headers prepped for surface-mounted magnetic locks, magnetic shear locks, surface-mounted top pivots, walking beam pivots, or overhead concealed door closers.

Capacity note: If the transom weight above the header exceeds 100 lbs (45.4 kg), the transom must be supported from the ceiling to relieve the header and prevent bowing. Use Cat. No. B5BC Smoke Baffle Channel or PH94 Patch Fittings for support. Contact CRL Technical Sales for assistance.

Application tip: For projects with protected floor finishes or minimal floor thickness where floor closers are not feasible, this floating header provides an effective glass door header solution without floor-cutting.
