CRL Cardiff Series Pivot Hinges (SKU: CAR01CH) are engineered for 5/16" (8 mm) to 3/8" (10 mm) tempered safety glass and expand installation options for frameless shower doors and glass enclosures. These top-or-bottom mount shower door hinges transfer most of the weight to the floor, can be inset from the wall to provide clearance for towel bars and projections, and reduce the number of cut-outs versus standard side-mount glass-to-glass hinges—making them a preferred choice for custom shower hinge applications. Cardiff pivot hinges are self-centering with four internal springs for maximum retention strength. Optional 5º pre-set pivot pin sets (sold separately) allow a 5º altered closing position and may be installed before or retrofitted after installation. The series adapts to the Deluxe Header System for enclosures that do not extend to the ceiling (HAB01 Adaptor Block ordered separately).

NOTE: Optional 5º Pivot Pin Set (for Cardiff, Prima, Rondo, and Shell Series) — sold as a set of two (top and bottom). Not included with hinge purchase.

Performance: Using two hinges with 5/16" or 3/8" glass (8 or 10 mm), the hinge will hold up to 100 lbs. (45 kg) with a maximum door width of 31" (787 mm).
