Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, uses the exclusive Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1) to secure the glass from the bottom of the rail using two aluminum glass-retaining extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tensioned with socket head cap bolts, angled wedges pull the extrusions together against the specially designed door retaining gasket, generating exceptional clamping force (900+ lbs. in a 9" corner rail). This patented wedge action delivers a secure hold for full-length 35-3/4" (908 mm) door rails used in commercial glass doors and storefront entrances.

The Wedge-Lock® system provides more than strong attachment — it offers the fastest installation time among door rail systems. Experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rails ship fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps pre-installed. After mounting the rail, simply attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the preassembled adjustable door alignment slide.

The standard Adjustable Door Alignment System (top and bottom rails) allows ±1/8" (3.2 mm) fine adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door. To adjust after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center secures the slide; the two outer bolts provide the 1/8" adjustment. The low-profile slide and slotted pivot grooves permit fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings and nonstandard setback positions.

Other Wedge-Lock® advantages: models accept 3/8"–3/4" glass; a rigid single-component housing that resists shifting; internal components stay in place during installation; and durable glass-securing pads designed for extreme environments. All rails include the built-in jamb alignment block; arms, pivots, keyed cylinders, thumbturns, and closer arms must be ordered separately to meet job requirements.
