CRL Brushed Stainless Door Header for 36-inch Concealed Closers

These CRL Floating Headers for Overhead Concealed Door Closers (SKU: FH4BSS) mount single or double doors off glass sidelites with a transom above. Stock floating headers are designed for 1/2" (12 mm) glass-to-glass installations and are prepped to accept CRL overhead concealed door closers and a 1/2" (12 mm) thick glass transom.

Custom floating headers cover additional configurations: various glass thicknesses, headers in custom lengths, glass-to-wall installations, and headers prepped for surface-mounted magnetic locks, magnetic shear locks, surface-mounted top pivots, walking beam pivots, or overhead concealed door closers.

Important: If the transom above the header exceeds 100 lbs (45.4 kg), it must be supported from the ceiling to prevent header bowing. Use Cat. No. B5BC Smoke Baffle Channel or PH94 Patch Fittings. Contact Technical Sales for assistance.

Application tip: For projects with protected or thin floors where floor closers are not possible, the CRL floating header provides a reliable overhead concealed door closer solution for glass storefronts and interior glass doors.
