CRL Polished SS Floating Header for 36" Concealed Door Closer

• For use with 1/2" (12 mm) glass only — glass-to-glass 1/2" floating header
• Ideal when cutting into the floor for a floor closer is not an option
• Available for glass-to-glass or glass-to-wall installations with overhead concealed door closers or pivots
• Six standard architectural finishes; custom headers available on special order

These CRL Floating Headers for Overhead Concealed Door Closers (SKU: FH4PSS) mount single or double doors from glass sidelites with a transom above. Stock floating headers fit 1/2" (12 mm) glass-to-glass installations and are prepped to accept CRL overhead concealed door closers and a 1/2" (12 mm) transom.

Custom floating headers expand configurations to support other glass thicknesses, custom lengths, glass-to-wall installations, and headers prepped for surface-mounted magnetic locks, magnetic shear locks, surface-mounted top pivots, walking beam pivots, or overhead concealed closers.

NOTE: If the transom weight above the header exceeds 100 lbs (45.4 kg), support the transom from the ceiling to prevent header bowing. Use Cat. No. B5BC Smoke Baffle Channel or PH94 Patch Fittings. Contact Technical Sales for assistance.

APPLICATION TIP: Use this floating header for overhead concealed door closers when floor closers cannot be used due to special floor finishes or minimal floor thickness.
