CRL Floating Headers for Overhead Concealed Door Closers (SKU: FH4MBLS) mount single or double doors off glass sidelites with a transom above. Stock floating headers are sized for 1/2" (12 mm) glass-to-glass installations and are prepped to accept CRL overhead concealed door closers and a 1/2" (12 mm) thick glass transom.

Custom floating headers support additional configurations: other glass thicknesses, custom lengths, glass-to-wall installations, and headers prepped for surface-mounted magnetic locks, magnetic shear locks, surface-mounted top pivots, walking beam pivots, or overhead concealed closers.

Important: If the transom above the header exceeds 100 lbs. (45.4 kg), it must be supported from the ceiling to prevent bowing. Use B5BC Smoke Baffle Channel or PH94 Patch Fittings, or contact Technical Sales for assistance.

Application Tip: When floor closers are not possible due to finished floors or minimal floor thickness, the CRL floating header for overhead concealed door closers provides a non-invasive alternative for glass doors.
