CRL Satin Anodized Floating Header for 36-in Concealed Door Closer

• For use with 1/2" (12 mm) glass only
• Ideal where cutting into the floor for a floor closer is not an option

These CRL Floating Headers for Overhead Concealed Door Closers mount single or double glass doors off sidelites with a transom above. Stock floating headers are designed for 1/2" (12 mm) glass-to-glass installations and are prepped to accept CRL overhead concealed door closers and a 1/2" (12 mm) glass transom.

Custom floating headers expand available configurations: other glass thicknesses, custom lengths, glass-to-wall installations, and headers prepped for surface-mounted magnetic locks, magnetic shear locks, surface-mounted top pivots, walking beam pivots, or overhead concealed door closers.

NOTE: If the transom above the header exceeds 100 lbs (45.4 kg), the transom must be supported from the ceiling to relieve the header and prevent bowing. Use Cat. No. B5BC Smoke Baffle Channel or PH94 Patch Fittings. Contact Technical Sales for assistance.

APPLICATION TIP: For projects with delicate finishes or minimal floor thickness where floor closers are not feasible, the CRL Floating Header for Overhead Concealed Door Closers provides a non-invasive glass door header solution.
